SBS 2011 Email not receiving

I have just setup an SBS 2011 server and configured exchange 2010. I changed dns to point at the mail server and port 25 is open in the router. I have confirmed port 25 accessibility although I dont seem to be able to telnet to the server. Mail is not being received. I have configured receiving domain and send connector. There are errors in the log id 12014 indicating a problem with the certifiacte. I need to get mail working ASAP. Any help would be appreciated.

When was the external DNS entry changed? did you wait for the replication to happen?
Telnet to port 25 from outside and try sending a mail

Does your internal mails work?

DNS was changed last night and I have tryed sending from an external location. No mail comes through. From that external location I have confirmed the MX record points to the ip address of our server.
Telnet doesnt connect comes up error 421 4.3.2 service not available. However I can telnet to the old 2003 server if I change the port forwarding in the router
Not very...Just Check the firewall and Antivirus settings on the Exchange Server it self

Does your Internal mails work?
Internal mail is working. Ive added a firewall rule to forward port 25 but not made any difference
How can I resolve the certificate error. Sounds like it may be related
